Description

This document represents a portion of a larger study, which involves a comprehensive, integrated baseline assessment of Faga'alu Bay, Tutuila, American Samoa. This document focuses on the sediment contaminant portion of the larger effort. The report details: (1) contaminant (e.g. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), pesticides, heavy metals) magnitudes and distributions in surface sediments (inside the Bay and in the watershed streams) and (2) a one time "snapshot" of surface water nutrient concentrations inside the Bay.
