NOAA Supports 2015 Middle School Career Fair

NCCOS scientist Marie DeLorenzo represented NOAA at last month’s Fort Johnson Middle School Career Fair in Charleston, SC. Approximately 525 students from grades 6 to 8 participated in the career fair, which featured 30 different local agencies and companies fromgovernment, industry, and academic sectors. Students were expected to talk to the professionals at booths they were interested in and complete fact sheets about what it takes to be successful in those careers. Many students were excited to learn about the broad range of research done at NCCOS’s Charleston lab, as well as NOAA’s careers and services available nationwide.science fair
