This six-month program strives to provide enhanced mentoring and training opportunities for participants. The program included regular one-on-one meetings with mentors, shadowing opportunities and participation in several training courses, including attendance at the NOAA BIG National Training Institute conference.

Belinda used the experience gained in the BIG mentoring program to apply for and secure a follow-on six-month NOAA Rotational Assignment Program (NRAP) assignment with the NOAA National Weather Service. Shewill be working in the International Affairs Office of the NWS assisting with travel, program and budget tracking and database management.
