Joint NOAA Libraries and American Geophysical Union Digitization Project Begins

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) is in the final stages of digitizing their Coastal andEstuarine Studies book series and has approached the NOAA Libraries in an effort to supply theunique titles that AGU is lacking. The NOAA Rice Library in Beaufort, North Carolina, maintainsseveral of the unique titles in its print collection and will be providing them for the project.

Uponcompletion of this cross-line digitization project, AGU will provide the NOAA-wide IP addresswith a complimentary subscription to the AGU Current Books Digital Library, including perpetualaccess to the 2009-2012 annual content. The project is expected to be completed within thenext four months.
