Workshop participants collect water samples to explore phytoplankton at Bodega Bay Marine Laboratory on a cliff overlooking the ocean.NCCOS recently worked with the Tribal Marine Stewards Network to develop a citizen science program tailored to their specific need to help protect tribal members who subsistence-harvest shellfish.
