Our scientists are returning from a 12 day research cruise aboard the NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson in Kodiak, AK. While at sea, the team used a craib corer to collect sediment samples that will be used to determine algal cyst distribution, and inform research on harmful algal bloom dynamics in the region.
