Researchers examine sponges to calculate greenhouse gasses

A SCUBA diver samples a sclerosponge in St. CroixBy examining the chemical composition of sea sponge skeletons, researchers have calculated that human emissions of greenhouse gasses have resulted in a 1.7℃ temperature increase since 1860, 0.5℃ higher than previous estimations.
