NCCOS and partners have initiated a surveillance of the toxic phytoplankton Pseudo-nitzschia in New England coastal waters through Spring 2024. By deploying Environmental Sample Processors along with ImagingFlow Cytobots, scientists are able to collect real-time data on changes in cells and toxin concentrations, which will help inform management decisions.
