Coastal managers, ocean planners, federal and state agencies, policymakers, and researchers need benthic data to make informed decisions in the use and management of Great Lake and ocean floor resources. Several NOAA offices collaborated on the new tool to improve data quality and consistency, advance best practices and improve data accessibility.
