Intern will assist the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Office’s North Atlantic right whale team in developing new engagement material/products for key target audiences about right whale conservation in the Southeastern US. Products could include items such as infographics, graphic icons, web stories, static maps, and/or creative digital content like videos, animations, or interactive story maps. The specifics of products to be developed will be determined at the start of the internship period.

Skills Required
- Creative, organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently
- Strong written and communication skills
- Specialized skill in one or more of the following creative areas: video/photo content creation; graphic design; motion graphics or animation; data visualization; creative writing/storytelling
- Experience with GIS, R and R shiny for data visualization skills a plus
- Knowledge of marine mammal species, marine mammal conservation biology, ecology and/or policy a plus
