NOAA has awarded $1,793,983 of an anticipated $4.2M for a four-year project to support the restoration of South Florida’s Everglades and Coral Reefs. The newly funded project, co-led by NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory and the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, will assess how five key stressors (OA, hypoxia, HABs, warming, and eutrophication) are impacting marine ecosystems of South Florida, and characterize the impacts of these stressors under present and future climate change scenarios.
