Intern will assist the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Office’s North Atlantic right whale team in developing new community engagement projects and products for key target audiences about right whale conservation in the Southeastern US. Products could include items such as infographics, graphic icons, written web stories, static maps, and/or creative digital content like videos, animations, or interactive story maps. The specifics of projects and products to be developed will be determined at the start of the internship period.

Summary / Description
Skills Required
- Creative, organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently
- Strong written and communication skills
- Specialized skill in one or more of the following creative areas: video/photo content creation; graphic design; motion graphics or animation; data visualization; creative writing/storytelling
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva a plus
- Experience with GIS, R and R shiny for data visualization skills a plus
- Knowledge of marine mammal species, marine mammal conservation biology, ecology and/or policy a plus
