NCCOS and NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration recently cohosted a Science of Oil Spills training for spill responders to increase their understanding of the science, effects, and risk-based decisions related to oil spills. Participants learned more about analytical tools, collaborative resources for decision makers, and explored firsthand observations of environmental conditions through a tour of South Carolina’s Charleston Harbor.
