Summary / Description

Interns will be involved with a number of research and monitoring activities including invasive species, fisheries, and vegetation monitoring, Research on crustacean biology and physiology, water quality, and Environmental DNA techniques. While interns are encouraged to find and focus on a particular project to “call their own”, there will be a great deal of flexibility and diversity with the tasks at hand.

Skills Required

This internship is geared toward undergraduate students looking to expand their experience and knowledge base in both lab and field applications. Applicants should be able to work both independently and with others as part of a team. Applicants should be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to do reasonable lifting/carrying of equipment over uneven terrain.
