Other Programs

The Student Educational Employment Program (SEEP)
This program provides employment opportunities to students enrolled or accepted for enrollment as degree seeking students taking at least a half-time academic, vocational, or technical course load in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate, or professional school. The SEEP program is comprised of two components:

Student Temporary Experience Program (STEP)
This program offers job opportunities ranging from summer jobs to full-time positions that are renewable once a year. The work experience need not directly relate to the student's academic field of study

Student Career Experience Program (SCEP)
This program offers students valuable work experience related to their academic field of study. Students may participate in this program on a full-time or part-time basis while they are enrolled in school. This program also offers the possibility of permanent employment after a student has successfully completed his/her academic degree requirements and meeting work requirements.

For more information about these programs, contact the NOAA Human Resources Department. More information can also be found on the web at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) website and OPM’s E-Scholar Program websites.
