Joint NOAA Libraries and American Geophysical Union Digitization Project Begins

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) is in the final stages of digitizing their Coastal and Estuarine Studies book series and has approached the NOAA Libraries in an effort to supply the unique titles that AGU is lacking. The NOAA Rice Library in Beaufort, North Carolina, maintains several of the unique titles in its print collection and will be providing them for the project.

Upon completion of this cross-line digitization project, AGU will provide the NOAA-wide IP address with a complimentary subscription to the AGU Current Books Digital Library, including perpetual access to the 2009-2012 annual content. The project is expected to be completed within the next four months.
