International Remote Sensing Training to increase the Number of Scientists Working in Coastal Resource Management
A National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science scientist taught an applied remote sensing class at the Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang, Vietnam, from July 11-24, 2007. The trainees consisted of young scientists from Vietnam and Thailand. The training was funded by a Japanese non-profit organization (NIPPON) to train marine scientists in developing countries. The NCCOS scientist was one of four instructors; others were from Japan and Scripps.
