Scientists sponsored by the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) are participating and presenting their research results at the 53rd Conference of the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) at the University of Toronto, Tronoto, Ontario, Canada, May 17-21, 2010. NCCOS is leading special sessions on ecological modeling and modeling/monitoring multiple stressors in Lake Erie. In addition there are 13 oral or poster presentations representing NCCOS-supported research. The conference theme is “Lessons From the Past – Solutions for the Future.” These activities showcase NCCOS’s involvement in the Great Lakes supporting ecological modeling and forecasting and the ecological-economic impacts of invasive, hypoxia and other multiple stressors in the Great Lakes.
