Fisheries Management at Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary Benefits from NCCOS Expertise
A National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science researcher participated in two workshops at the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary held on July 18-19 in Galveston, Texas at the NOAA Fort Crockett laboratory. The two workshops were “Fishing Impacts Workshop” and “Boundary Expansion Workshop.” Various action strategies were discussed to address possible impacts related to fishing closures at the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary.
NCCOS was invited to participate due to previous interest and expertise in the area. The workshop was also open to the public.
