Scientists’ Research Profiled by San Juan Newspaper
National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science scientists and their work characterizing the Mona Passage in Puerto Rico were profiled in the San Juan Star, Monday, April 30, 2007. The article, “Scientists find coral thriving at unusual depths in Mona Passage, Puerto Rico” contained several photos and quotes from the scientists. The research was conducted April 14-24, 2007 to develop the first comprehensive benthic habitat maps of Conservation Areas, high priority marine protected areas on Puerto Rico’s western coast.
